What is Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS):
Most people asked me a question about, what is HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa)? How it affects the body? what are the causes of Hidradenitis Suppurativa? and what are the cures to fight this anonymous disease? It tends to occur in relative adulthood and the typical areas where it involves the skin include the armpits the groin and commonly the buttocks as well.
Unfortunately, researchers don’t have all the answers regarding why this condition develops but researchers do know that it tends to be quite long-standing and it tends to be quite difficult to treat in many instances. Many people first develop, what seems like either ingrown hairs a pimple or boil in the typical area as I mentioned over time if left untreated. These can progress and develop into draining sinus tracks and very painful large affected areas of skin.
Causes of Hidradenitis Suppurativa
As I earlier wrote about what is HS, Hidradenitis suppurativa cause, and how to treat it naturally and treat it by using supplements. But now I want to focus on HS factors related to what is actually causing Hidradenitis Suppurativa in the first place and share some knowledge to enlighten people who do not know that is HS or how to get rid of it.
The first thing that a person with Hidradenitis Suppurativa absolutely must do is not smoke. If you have Hidradenitis Suppurativa and you are a smoker, you have to stop. That’s because smoking number one causes inflammation, which is going to make any skin condition, an autoimmune condition, worse. You have to stop smoking because cigarettes contain nicotine and nicotine causes thickening of the skin tissue which is one of the first things that happens as those lesions begin to grow. So, if you are smoking, you are getting nicotine into your body, that’s going to fuel the entire process of the bumps forming.
- The other thing that I can recommend for you is to get checked out for food allergies. There was a small research study done, found that 100% of people with Hidradenitis Suppurativa were allergic to brewer’s yeast, that’s known as Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It’s found in things like Beer, Bread and other baked goods.
There are a lot of food sensitivities that often accompany being sensitive to yeast. I recommend finding a good integrative practitioner so that you can be evaluated for food sensitivities. I would look at IgG, IgE, if possible and if there are some food sensitivities going on. That’s a sign that there has been a breakdown in the digestive process. There is intestinal hyperpermeability or leaky gut going on.
Healthy Blood Sugar and Insulin Levels
- High blood sugar in your diet is going to cause a lot of inflammation. It’s going to make any sort of skin condition worse. The other thing is to make sure that you get your fasting insulin checked by your doctor. Because, if your insulin level is too high, that is also going to cause thickening of the skin. Which directly contributes to the lesions forming.
- Supplements are very helpful too, but I want to make the point that they are only a tool. So, I always want to work on the root causes. I get check out and get a lot of comprehensive lab testing done to find out what’s going on with me specifically. You should also do that and rather than masking symptoms with supplements or medications. You want to find out exactly why you’re dealing with this condition in the first place. I think now you might know about What is HS.
